Victory Gardens is dedicated to making the greater Nederland area a more resilient and sustainable community through local food production. We grow gardens, inside and outside, in partnership with private citizens, organizations, schools, local businesses, and Town officials. A local nonprofit since 2015, we are guided by the following principles:
-Build and Promote Local Food Systems
-Grow Vegetables and Herbs on Scale
-Develop Markets and Local Economy
-Serve the Community through Education and Information-Sharing
Please join us in this community effort, especially now in this time of the coronavirus pandemic. Here are ways you can participate:
-Grow your own garden!
-Sign up for a plot at the Community Garden
-Volunteer. Write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Victory Gardens takes its name from the patriotic efforts of millions of Americans who grew food during World Wars I and II. Just as our forebears rose to the challenges of their time, answering a call to action, we aspire to do the same in the face of the many ecological and economic threats posed by an uncertain future.
